  • Breathe is a mindfulness app that helps you stay calm and battle anxiety by sending you gentle deep breathing reminders throughout the day.
  • buddhify is a practical, playful and beautifully-designed app which increases your wellbeing by teaching you mindfulness-based meditation on the go.
  • CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia with a health professional, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The app guides its users through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving their sleep environments.
  • Full Term is a convenient app for keeping track of your contractions through labour. It also has a pregnancy reference section and fetal kick counter.
  • Hypnobirthing Hypnosis by Mindifi is designed to alleviate the stress and worry of childbirth by showing expectant mothers how to harness the power of their mind by conditioning the body to relax. The hypnosis program instills confidence in expectant mothers by erasing beliefs that childbirth is hard and painful and instructing partners how make it gentle and serene.
  • Kindara is a useful and comprehensive fertility charting system. It helps you to understand your own body in preparation for conception.
  • Mood & Anxiety Diary is a useful way to track changes in mood and anxiety over time. It allows the user to see if there are any patterns in mood variations and levels of anxiety.
  • MoodKit offers over 200 different mood improvement activities e.g., thought tracking, journalling, activity scheduling and thought checking. The app encourages you to think outside the box and apply different approaches to improving your mood.
  • Mood Tracker takes mood monitoring a step further by including information on sleep patterns and medication reminders. The unique feature of this app is that it can send alerts to social supports when you are struggling, and your network (including mental health professionals) can access the information you put into the app (with consent).
  • Ovia Pregnancy tracks your pregnancy and baby’s development. You receive daily feedback on the progress of your pregnancy as you track your weight, sleep, moods & symptoms.
  • Pacific – Stress, Anxiety and Depression Relief offers psychologist-designed tools based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness meditation, relaxation, and mood/health tracking.
  • Smiling Mind is a great app for practicing mindfulness at all ages, it also helps you track your progress and mood/emotional states before and after meditation. This can be a helpful way to track the benefits of meditation.
  • Thought Diary Pro allows the identification of thinking errors, and the modification of our unhelpful thoughts into more productive ways of thinking.
  • Grief and Loss
    • Bears of Hope  is a pregnancy & infant loss support agency providing support and care for families who experience the loss of their baby. The helpline is 1300 11 HOPE.
    • Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them. The helpline is 1300 622 243.
    • Reconceiving Loss is an online resource centre designed to support individuals and families going through pregnancy loss and stillbirth.
    • SANDS is a miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death charity. They operate across Australia, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working to improve the care bereaved parents receive by healthcare professionals and breaking the silence and taboo of baby death in today’s society. The helpline is 1300 072 637.
  • Parenting
    • Emotional Experiences of Early Parenthood is a website containing real-life stories of 45 Australian mothers’ and fathers’ emotional experiences of becoming a parent. The stories are from single fathers and mothers, older and younger parents, parents of twins, parents through surrogacy or adoption, same-sex attracted parents, parents who experienced pre-term birth, multiple miscarriage or death of a baby, and mothers and fathers from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
    • Parent Line is a confidential 24-hour telephone counselling service providing professional counselling and support for parents and those who care for children. Parent Line aims to nurture and support positive, caring relationships between parents, children, teenagers and significant other people who are important to the wellbeing of families. The helpline is 1300 130 052.
    • Raising Children Network was developed with the help of an extensive network including the Australian Government to provide comprehensive, expert reviewed information about raising children 0-8 years or age.
    • StepFamilies Australia provides assistance to families where one or both partners come together with children from an earlier relationship, who may be considering or already have formed together to live in a stepfamily situation.
  • Postnatal Adjustment, Anxiety and Depression
    • Beyond Blue provides information online about anxiety and depression or you can call their support service to talk with a health professional. They also have email or chat support services. The helpline is 1300 224 636.
    • Birth Trauma Australia is a trauma focused agency dedicated to educating and supporting women and families affected by traumatic birth and PTSD.
    • Centre of Perinatal Excellence  (COPE) informs and educates through providing high quality, evidence-based information to empower and guide people through pregnancy and early parenthood.
    • The Gidget Foundation is a not-for profit organisation whose mission is to promote awareness of perinatal anxiety and depression amongst women and their families, their healthcare providers and the wider community to ensure that women in need receive timely, appropriate and supportive care.
    • Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA) provides a vital service across Australia by offering the only specialist national perinatal mental health telephone counselling service. The helpline is 1300 726 306.
  • Pregnancy, Birth, Breastfeeding and Baby
    • Australian Breastfeeding Association is a community based self-help group offering information, counselling, and support services, on breastfeeding issues. The breastfeeding helpline is 1800 686 268.
    • Brave Foundation is dedicated to supporting expecting and parenting teenagers. For information about support services phone 1800 827 441.
    • Calmbirth is a highly acclaimed childbirth education program which embodies the connection between the mind-body and family. The program is designed to teach expectant parents how to embrace and work with the wonders and challenges of birth.
    • Children by Choice is an independent Brisbane-based non-profit organisation, committed to providing unbiased information on all unplanned pregnancy options – abortion, adoption and parenting. Pro-choice and woman-centred approach, the organisation publishes national facts and figures and information about national unplanned pregnancy legal frameworks.
    • Karitane  support new parents around sleep and settling, establishing routines, feeding and nutrition, toddler behaviour and perinatal anxiety and depression. The helpline is 1300 227 464.
    • Pregnancy, birth and baby is a government run initiative designed to support parents on the journey from pregnancy to preschool. It provides over-the-phone guidance and reassurance about child developmental and behavioural concerns from maternal child health nurses and emotional support to parents from counsellors. The helpline is 1800 882 436.
    • SheBirths is a birthing institute dedicated to providing the highest quality evidence based childbirth education, training and research for better births around the world.
    • Tresillian is an early parenting service offering families guidance in the early years of their child’s life. They new parents around breastfeeding and settling baby, as well as dealing with post-natal depression and nutrition. The helpline is 1300 272 736.
  • Relationships
    • Relationships Australia Relationships Australia provides specialist relationship support services through counselling and family dispute resolution for couples experiencing relationship problems. The helpline is 1300 364 277.
  • Crisis Support
    • Lifeline Lifeline is a national organisation that provides 24-hour access to crisis support, suicide prevention and mental health support services. The helpline is 13 11 14.
